Veterans Day 2013

On November 9-10, 2013, His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas joined the Annunciation community of Dayton, Ohio in celebrating the Veterans Day. On Saturday evening His Eminence was invited at an Open House hosted by Dr. John and Evanthia Valassiades. On Sunday, Metropolitan Nicholas celebrated the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy assisted by Fr. Mark Emroll (Proistamenos) and Dcn. Stylianos. The Liturgy was followed by a Memorial Service and Artoklasia, as well as tonsuring of the altar boys. At the end, His Eminence acknowledged the veterans present and handed them Certificates of Appreciation for their service to God and country.
